Vineyard: Barolo Bussia DOCG hails from the amphitheater-shaped vineyards of Bussia Monforte dâAlba. This historic wine was first produced as a single vineyard offering by Prunotto in 1961. The balance and complexity of the Nebbiolo grape are enhanced by the vineyard's southern exposure and the traditional aging process in large oak barrels.
Winemaking: The grapes were carefully harvested and brought to the winery. Following this, they underwent destemming, crushing, and extraction for 8-10 days. Malolactic fermentation took place before the end of winter. The wine was then aged for 18 months in French oak barrels.
Characteristics: A brilliant, vibrant ruby color. On the nose, it is elegant and rich, with notes of red fruits and floral hints of rose. On the palate, it is robust, with sweet, silky tannins leading to a long and harmonious finish.
Pair it with: Beef Bourguignon, rib eye steak, braised beef cheeks, game dishes.
