Refund policy

General rule: Due to the nature of its products (alcoholic beverages), wine.gr does not generally accept returns. Every return request is examined on a case-by-case basis and is approved exclusively following written agreement with WINEDOT LTD.

Statutory right of withdrawal: In accordance with Greek Law 2251/1994 and EU Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer protection in distance contracts, you retain a right of withdrawal within 14 calendar days of receipt, exclusively for products that are:

• in sealed, intact original packaging, with no sign of opening or use;
• unopened, untasted, and not partially consumed (for hygiene and food/beverage safety reasons, the right of withdrawal does not apply to opened products).

Return costs: In any return, all shipping costs (original delivery and return) are borne 100% by the customer. The customer is responsible for safely shipping the products back to WINEDOT LTD.

Defective or incorrect products: If the product you received is defective or different from what you ordered, contact us immediately at in@wine.gr. WINEDOT LTD will examine/inspect the product and, once the issue is confirmed, will proceed at its discretion with a replacement or refund, at no cost to the customer in this specific case.

Sensitive product: Wine is a sensitive food product, the quality of which may deteriorate if shipping or return is not carried out promptly and under suitable transport/temperature conditions. For this reason, WINEDOT LTD reserves the right to refuse a return if, at its discretion following inspection, the product does not meet the good-condition requirements necessary for acceptance.

Note: The above 14-day right of withdrawal applies by law and cannot be excluded by this policy. Our practical position is not to encourage or facilitate returns beyond what the law expressly provides.
