Dafni is a rare, indigenous variety from Crete that was nearly extinct until the early 21st century, saved thanks to the dedication and efforts of some ambitious producers. It boasts particularly aromatic characteristics, featuring fruity notes alongside herbal ones, with the distinct aroma of bay leaf standing out and defining the wine. It has a rich body, moderate alcohol content, and balanced acidity.
Its aromatic profile makes it one of the most gastronomic white wines, as it pairs perfectly with flavorful dishes from Mediterranean cuisine, as well as bold cheeses, seafood, and white meats.
